DRAGON BOAT RACE

The Dragon boat race is a traditional custom of the Chinese Dragon Boat Festival. As legend has it, it originated in ancient times when the people of Chu could not face the death of their wise minister Qu Yuan, so many of them rowed boats to chase after him and save him. They scrambled to Dongting Lake and lost sight of him. After that, dragon boats were rowed every year on the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar to commemorate it. By rowing the dragon boat to disperse the fish in the river, so that the fish will not eat Qu Yuan's body. The custom of "Gutu" is prevalent in Wu, Yue, and Chu. The Dragon Boat is more than just a boat; here you can not only strengthen your body, but also feel the cohesion between groups.
