On April 11, Senior Consultant of the Development Department from the region of the middle part of Denmark Lars Haarhr Jensen, Peter WiborgAstrup, Anja Elisa Rasmussen and Lars Dyrløv Madsen of the Development Department from the region of the middle part of Denmark, Dean of the Department of Food Science of Aarhus University Michelle Heather Williams, and the official of international development of the Division of International Relations of the Development Department from the region of the middle part of Denmark Signe Z. N. Madsen came to visit our school. Deputy Dean of the School of Agriculture and Biology Professor Che Shengquan, Dean of the Department of Food Science and Engineering Professor Shi Xianming, Associate Professor Shi Chunlei and other relevant teachers attended the discussion meeting. 

At the discussion meeting, Deputy Dean Professor Che Shengquan delivered warm welcome to the visitors on behalf of the school first. After both parties gave a background introduction respectively, they made joint discussion in terms of the possibility of collaboration among institutions of higher education, the government and enterprises. As far as scientific research is concerned, both parties wish to explore the “one-to-one” cooperation mode in the similar research fields. As for teaching, both parties want to start cooperation from the projects such as summer school, short-term student exchange, mutual teacher visit and etc.

Aarhus University is a comprehensive public university with a long history and the second largest scale in Denmark. In the Times Higher Education World University Rankings in 2008, it was ranked in the 81^st place in the world, and the 3^rd place in Northern Europe. In 2014, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Aarhus University signed the cooperation agreement at school level focusing on exchange students. This Friday, relevant teachers of our school and Professor Williams of Aarhus University held the discussion meeting for the second time, and made discussion in terms of the declaration of “International Horizon 2020 Program” and other relevant cooperation.
